...but good God damn I miss my PowerBook.
SO much of my life was wrapped up in that machine. For it to just give it up like it did...more than just disruptive.
The recovery tools I ordered have yet to arrive, so I still don't know how much of my data will be recoverable. I'm expecting the worst and hoping for the best at this point.

What happened to the powerbook?
From what AppleCare can tell me, they think the logic board got fried/died or something. The display has been destroyed and we can't get the machine to boot.
I'm still trying to see what can be salvaged, so we'll see how bad it is. My biggest "issue" right now with it is that I can't really afford a new machine right now...and with everything I'm doing I really need a current machine...and really a Mac with all of the specialized applications I use for school.
